Na hitro: Sva par, ki z lastnimi rokami in neizmerno vztrajnostjo vdihuje novo življenje zapuščenim vinogradom v Stari Gori v Semiču. Z vsakim rešenim kamnom iz trnja ne obnavljava le objektov in vinskih goric, temveč gradiva prostor, kjer se preteklost prepleta s prihodnostjo.
Zakaj to počneva in kaj gradiva?
Veliko dela opraviva sama in se vsake nove terase ali kamna, ki ga očistiva, resnično veseliva. Najin cilj – poslanstvo ki sva si ga zadala, je uresničitev treh ključnih ciljev:
- Oaza sonaravnega bivanja: Pokazati želiva, da vinske gorice niso garanje in muka, temveč popoln prostor za oddih – prostor miru, kamor se lahko vsakdo umakne iz vsakdanjega vrveža modernega sveta in najde potrebovano sprostitev, a si sočasno lahko pridela, kar potrebuje, s čim manj dela.
- Ohranjanje dediščine prednikov: Cilj nama je ohraniti čim več tistega, kar so nama zapustili predniki, upoštevati naravne danosti okolja in skozi praktični prikaz vse pridobljeno znanje deliti s širšo skupnostjo, da ji bo lažje in lepše bivati v vrvežu modernega sveta.
- Povezovanje skozi zgodbe: Skozi projekt obnove (danes Posest pri Gozetu) in zbiranje spominov v okviru pobude »Po stopinjah Gozečih« ohranjamo zapuščino pretekle skupnosti, z njenim znanjem povezujemo sedanjo in postavljamo trdne temelje za bodočo.
Zavedava se, da je pred nama še veliko dela, a z vsakim vašim korakom, prispevkom in deljeno zgodbo bo ta pot precej krajša.

In short: We are a couple breathing new life into abandoned vineyards in Stara Gora, Semič, with our own hands and immense perseverance. With every stone rescued from the overgrowth, we are not only restoring structures and vineyards, but building a space where the past intertwines with the future.
Why We Do This and What We Are Building?
We do much of the work ourselves and genuinely rejoice at every new terrace or cleared stone. Our goal—the mission we have set for ourselves—is to achieve three key objectives:
- An Oasis of Sustainable Living: We want to show that vineyards are not a source of hard labor and toil, but a perfect getaway—a place of peace where anyone can escape the everyday hustle and bustle of the modern world, find the relaxation they need, and at the same time produce what they require with as little effort as possible.
- Preserving the Heritage of Our Ancestors: Our goal is to preserve as much as possible of what our ancestors left us, respect the natural environment, and share all the acquired knowledge with the wider community through practical demonstrations, making it easier and more beautiful for people to live in the hustle and bustle of the modern world.
- Connecting Through Stories: Through the restoration project (now Gozet Estate) and the collection of memories under the initiative “In the Footsteps of the Gozeči,” we are preserving the legacy of the past community, using its wisdom to unite the present one, and laying solid foundations for the future.
We know there is still a lot of work ahead of us, but with every step, contribution, and shared story, this journey will be considerably shorter.
